La Bougie is an independent Irish perfumery founded by Lucy Hagerty in 2012 and based in Kinsale, County Cork. After years spent learning perfumery and candle-making, Hagerty built the brand around distinctive fragrance compositions inspired by places, memories and ingredients.

The collection began with hand-poured candles and has expanded into room diffusers, linen sprays, fragrance oils, perfumes and scented body and hair care. La Bougie develops its fragrances from its Kinsale perfumery, with its candles, home fragrances, perfumes and body-care range produced in Ireland.

La Bougie also created the bespoke Leather Cologne for Kinsale Leather, another independent Kinsale brand. The fragrance is used to scent Kinsale Leather bags and shop and is also bottled as part of their collection.
