Retrosaria Rosa Pomar is a Portuguese yarn producer and textile-craft shop founded in Lisbon in 2008. Working directly with sheep farmers, breeders’ associations and specialised manufacturers, the brand develops fully traceable yarns from the wool of native Portuguese sheep breeds. Its own yarns are produced in Portugal, including both mill-spun and small-batch hand-spun ranges, and its Portuguese wool work also extends to a limited collection of ready-to-wear knitwear and accessories.

Alongside Rosa Pomar’s own production, Retrosaria operates a broad multibrand shop for knitting, crochet, sewing, embroidery, felting and other textile crafts. It sells third-party yarns and fibres, fabrics, tools, haberdashery, patterns, books and a smaller selection of finished clothing, bags, footwear and homeware.
