Founded in 2013, NORDWOLLE is a German wool clothing and home-goods maker based in Teplitz, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The brand specialises in functional outdoor clothing, bedding and other wool products made from the fleeces of traditional land sheep breeds.
Much of NORDWOLLE's wool comes from German sheep used for landscape conservation, including the Pomeranian Coarsewool sheep and other old regional breeds whose wool would otherwise have limited commercial use. Selected products also use Portuguese Urmerino wool.
NORDWOLLE develops and manufactures products at its own facility in Teplitz and works with small craft businesses in Germany and Portugal. Many garments are produced to order, while the company also offers repairs to extend the life of its clothing.
Alongside men's and women's wool clothing, the range includes baby and children's clothing, wool-filled bedding and mattresses, bags, home accessories, equestrian gear, wool fabric by the metre and wool barefoot shoes developed in collaboration with Wildling Shoes.
