Lapuan Kankurit is a Finnish family-owned weaving company whose modern mill was established in Lapua in 1973, building on textile-making roots dating back to 1917. Known for its linen and wool textiles, the brand combines Jacquard weaving, Nordic design and its own production facilities in Finland.
Its range includes towels and sauna textiles, kitchen and table linens, blankets, cushions, bedding, scarves, shawls and fabrics sold by the metre. Lapuan Kankurit reports that 98% of its products are woven at its own mill in Lapua, with a small share woven or produced in Lithuania. Its hot-water bottles combine woven wool covers with German-made inserts.
The company is a Masters of LINEN™-certified weaving mill and offers numerous products carrying Finland’s Key Flag mark. It also holds an EcoCompass environmental-management certificate.
