Ethical trade Norway was founded in the year 2000 by the Trade and Service Industry’s main organization (today Virke), Church Emergency Aid, LO and Coop Norge. The background for the initiative was the recognition that trade is an important prerequisite for development. But then trading must take place in a way that ensures decent working and environmental conditions throughout the supply chain.
